This analogue output module is meant to supply to drive modulating Final Control Elements (FCE) of a specific control loop like modulating valves, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Dampers, Louvers and indicating devices like indicators, recorders, data loggers and other devices.

 

The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4 is a Compact I/O module. This module is an analogue output module with Four (4) single-ended channels configurable for Four (4) Voltage and Current channels. Applicable output voltage and current ranges are ±10V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 1-5V and 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. Output signals could also be wont to drive modulating actuators and devices. This module is compatible to be used with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers.

 

This analogue output has an embedded Four (4) single-ended output channels. Each channel is individually configurable for signal types like 0-20mA and 4-20 mA Current signals and ±10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 1 to 5Vdc Voltage signals. This module has an output resolution of 15-bit configurable for unipolar and bipolar operation. The analogue signal could also be used or assigned because the Control Output (CO) of a Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller or retransmit a sign to a receiving element like indicators, recorders, data loggers, converters and other similar instruments. The analogue output can also be initiated via a person's Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other computer-based or electrical based manual loaders.

 

The 1769-OF4 supports installation with a Micro Logix 1500 controller or CompactLogix controller however, the module instance is restricted consistent with the facility supply distance rating. For the 1769-OF4, the specified distance is Eight (8). Should there be quite 8 modules are needed, another power supply could also be installed within the CompactLogix assembly to qualify other modules.
